Bahubali 2 : The Conclusion - Power Of Vengeance

Bahubali 2 is the sequel of Bahubali: The Beginning taking place before and after the events of its first film. The movie set in the fictional historical era where Kattappa (Sathyaraj) continues to narrate how he ended up killing Amrendra Bahubali (Prabhas). After defeating Kalakeyas, Amrendra was declared a king and have been gone to tour a kingdom with Kattappa before his official coronation ceremony. While he was touring his kingdom he meets Devasena (Anushka Shetty), Princess of Kuntala Kingdom and falls in love with her. Bhallaladeva learns about this new development and smartly plans the conspiracy where Amrendra has to choose between Mahishmati kingdom and Devesena. Amrendra follows the dharma taught by her godmother Rajamatha Sivagami (Ramya) and leaves the crown and choose to become army chief of Mahishmati. Bijjaladeva (Nassar) & Bhallaladeva are jealous of Bahubali's popularity among people and they further plot conspiracy to banish Baahubali & Devasena from the royal palace. Amrendra still manages to rule the heart of people which makes Bhallaladeva conspire a plot and creates the false story to convince Shivagami to instruct Kattappa to kill Bahubali.
The story of his father murder evokes the emotion of vengeance in Mahendra Bahubali and prepares an army to attack Bhalladeva to avenge his father's murder.

Well, it is certainly larger than life movie especially after it's prequel which raised the standard of movie-making of Indian film industry. Bahubali is grand with flawless special effects, awesome cinematography, thrilling sound effects & great action sequences. The only place I feel movie lacks its pace is in its plot and storyline. Bahubali: The beginning was making us curious and something to look for in its story and kept us on the edge where as the sequel looked predictable and also sometimes over the board and too much of liberty on storytelling. The performance was also over dramatic which steal the soul of the movie. The highlight of the movie was it's action sequence however during climax it was too tiring to see and at one point I was feeling like- just get over with it.

I am giving it a rating of 3 out of 5, maybe because I was expecting way too much based on what it presented in its first part. Having said that Baahubali shows our artistic caliber to deliver such grand quality movie making from India. I really proud of Rajamouli to make India arrive in such quality movie making with this blockbuster.
