Two Days, One Night - Persuading for Survival
It’s a story about Sandra Bya (Marion Cotillard) a young wife and mother who works in a small solar-panel factory in Belgium suffers from nervous breakdown and forced to take time off from her job. During her absence her rest of colleagues covers her shifts by working longer hours and management proposes €1,000 bonus to all staff if they agree to make Sandra redundant. When Sandra returns to work she has to convince 16 co-workers and persuade them to reject monetary bonus to save her job where all workers need proposed bonus in bad economic situation.
It’s an awesome movie with great story to challenge humanity and emotions we go through, though like typical European movie it is quite arty and sometimes quite slow. Apart from amazing direction Marion stands out with her excellent performance which also made her nominated for Oscar. It’s a good watch.
