Bahubali: The Beginning - The Power Of Gene

Bahubali, The Beginning is a first part of Telugu movie series Bahubali, a bilingual epic historical fiction film written and directed by S.S. Rajamouli.  With a budget of $42 million (250 crore) Bahubali is most expensive movie from India.

The movie is setup in history of time around kingdom of Mahismati. Movie starts showing wounded woman Sivagami (Ramya Krishnan) also a Queen of Mahismati carrying a baby and chased by royal soldiers. She gets drowned in a river while holding a baby above water which was saved by some tribal villagers. A baby grows up among villagers as a Shiva (Prabhas) who since his childhood aspires to climb above the giant waterfall (towards direction of Mahismati kingdom). As a human Shiva grows up with god like power and valor carried on from his gene. After numerous attempts Shiva manages to climb the waterfall where he meets Avantika (Tammanah) and instantly falls in love. Avantika, who is part of rebel army is in mission to rescue their captured Queen Devasena (Anoushka Shetty) who is a prisoner of Bhallala Deva (Rana Daggubatti), a cruel king of Mahismati who is torturing Devasena since 25 years. Devasena is waiting for his son to rescue him and kill entire clan of Bhallala Deva. Shiva makes Avantika's mission as his own mission and goes to Mahismati Palace to rescue Devasena. He fights with hundreds of soldiers, kills Bhallala's son and manages to rescue the queen after long fight with king's loyal guard Kattappa (Sathyaraj). After noticing strength and looks of  Shiva; Kattappa, Rebel Army and Devasena recognises Shiva as Bahubali which makes Shiva curious about his real identity. Kattappa explain the story of his father Amrendra Bahubali who was a king of Mahismati and an exceptional warriors as well as loved by all people from kingdom. He also tells him about war which makes his father king of Mahismati and finally gets killed with betrayal & politics to make Bhallala the king of Mahismati empire.

This movie is larger than life and from production technology point of view it tells the world that India has arrived in movie making. The cinematography, action sequences, background music and performance of all characters is first class without a doubt. The only flaw of the movie is little bit of drama and romantic angle in stretched first half however you will forget about it post interval when they show war sequence in grand manner. The war sequence shown in the movie can make this movie of standards of likes of Lord Of The Rings and 300 kind of movies. The climax is done smartly to keep us interested and looking forward for its sequel which is announced to be released in 2016.

It's a proud moment for Indian cinema and no doubt it is on US & UK top 10 and doing great worldwide. Go for it, I am sure you will love it.
