Anks Movie Review: J. Edgar (Drama) - [4/5]

I have been waiting for this movie for quite sometime. J. Edgar is a drama movie directed by legendary Client Eastwood based on true story of John Edgar Hoover. J. Edgare was instrumental in founding the FBI in 1935, where he remained director until his death in 1972. Hoover is credited with building the FBI into a large and efficient crime-fighting agency, and with instituting a number of modernizations to police technology, such as a centralized fingerprint file and forensic laboratories.
Late in life and after his death Hoover became a controversial figure as evidence of his secretive actions became public. His critics have accused him of exceeding the jurisdiction of the FBI. He used the FBI to harass political dissenters and activists, to amass secret files on political leaders, and to collect evidence using illegal methods.
The movie takes up his life journey through his narration for a book very effective way and in parallel runs his life when he has grown old and yet passionate about his work. Client Eastwood successfully got best of Leonardo performance and the performance of Armie Hammer as his associates and his gay lover was also exceptionally done.
Watch this for great performance of Leonardo & Armie and amazing direction by Client Eastwood.
