Sultan - King of the Ring

Sultan is movie about long forgotten wrestler from a small town in Haryana who was ex-gold medalist and world champion in wrestling.  The movie sets up in current time where Aakash Oberoi (Amit Sadh), the founder of a private mixed martial arts league, who was losing money on the sport and encouraged by his father to hire an Indian wrestler Sultan (Salman Khan) to save league popularity in India. Aakash travels to Haryana to make offer to Sultan which is bluntly rejected as Sultan retired himself from wrestling.

Aakash finds out the reason of Sultan's retirement through a flashback story narrated by Govind (Anant Sharma), where Sultan falls in love with Aarfa (Anushka Sharma), a state-level woman wrestler. The story goes back in days when Sultan was no one but get himself into wrestling to win's Aarfa's heart and getting married to her. Sultan's dedication makes him best wrestler in country and he wins all accolades which makes him bit arrogant about himself and he loses his newborn son because of anemia when he was in tour for world championship. This incidence breaks the relationship between Sultan and Aarfa and Sultan decides never ever to get back to ring and gets separated from Aarfa while doing fundraising for a blood bank so that no other baby dies with anemia in his town. Aakash learns this and convince Sultan that how his return to fight can help him to come over this guilt as well as help him his dream to build a blood bank in his town. Sultan decides joins back all new level of mixed martial art league which is quite a different from wresting and finds out he is not fit to fight such a unique sport. Aakash puts him with aggressive trainer Fateh Singh (Randeep Hooda) who prepares him to fight the league. Sultan fights the leagues against all odds and the movie shows his fighting spirit amidst the emotional turmoil he goes through.

Well, Sultan is amazingly well written movie with great direction from Ali Abbas Zafar. This movie completely belongs to Salman Khan with for a change his amazing & perfect acting as an ageing struggling wrestler. Anushka Sharma is brilliant and looked so refined with her performance. The movie is so well balanced with story line and all it's character. The real delight of movie is it's honesty, originality, music, thrills and amazing dialog delivery by each characters in movie.

After long time it's really a delight to see such a great hind film, its awesome entertainer.
